1 hr agoWhy Some People Don’t Turn to God in Hard Times
Hard times usually push people to seek comfort, but not everyone turns to God during difficult moments. There are several reasons for this.
One common reason is doubt. When people face pain, loss, or disappointment, they may begin to question whether God is really listening or if prayers truly make a difference. This doubt can make them withdraw instead of praying.
Another reason is past experiences of disappointment. Some people feel their previous prayers were not answered the way they expected, so they slowly lose trust and stop seeking God in new challenges. Over time, this creates distance between them and faith.
Pride and self-reliance also play a role. Some individuals believe they must handle everything on their own without asking for spiritual help. They depend only on their strength, even when life becomes overwhelming.
In other cases, stress and distractions of daily life can pull people away from prayer. Busy schedules and emotional pressure make it easy to forget God in difficult moments.
Still, many people eventually return to faith when life becomes too heavy to carry alone. Hard times often reveal what the heart truly depends on, life without God is nothing.
