When Ordinary Moments Catch Fire Pay Attention

In Exodus 3:1–5, Moses is deep into a quiet life far from Egypt, far from the chaos, just tending sheep in the wilderness.

    Ā

Ā It’s routine, nothing dramatic. But then, something unusual breaks the normal flow. He notices a bush on fire yet it isn’t burning up.

    Ā

That alone is enough to make him pause.

Moses turns aside to really look. He doesn’t ignore it, doesn’t rush past it he leans into the moment. And that decision changes everything.

    Ā

Out of that burning bush, God calls his name: ā€œMoses, Moses.ā€ And Moses responds, ā€œHere I am.ā€ It’s simple, but powerful he’s present, available, listening.

    Ā

Then comes the shift. God tells him not to come any closer and to take off his sandals, because the ground he’s standing on is holy.

    Think about that.

    Ā

Ā The same wilderness the same ground but now it’s sacred because God is there.

    This moment is deep.

    Ā

Ā Sometimes, life feels ordinary, even dry but one encounter can change how you see everything. What looks like a normal day can suddenly carry divine weight.

    Ā

The key is awareness. If Moses didn’t stop, he might have missed it.

Not every burning bush is loud but when it shows up, it demands your attention.
