Okon was no longer the greedy man people used to know. His farm was doing well. His harvest was plenty. People even started asking him for advice.
One afternoon, as he was resting under a tree, he saw a small crowd gathered near the village road.
And guess who was at the center?
The tortoise.
This time, the tortoise was trapped again — inside another hunter’s net.
Villagers were laughing.
“Leave it there!”
“It’s just a stubborn tortoise!”
Okon stood still.
He remembered everything — the midnight forest… the empty chest… the golden seed.
The tortoise looked straight at him and said nothing.
No promise of gold.
No secret treasure.
No midnight instructions.
Just silence.
Okon slowly walked forward…
