When the storm finally erupts, it does so with intensity. Thunder crashes, lightning flashes, and rain pours relentlessly. It can feel overwhelming, even frightening. But this is where another lesson lies: storms do not last forever. No matter how fierce the thunderstorm is, it will eventually pass. The sky will clear, the sun will return, and life will continue. This reminds us that difficult moments in life, no matter how intense, are temporary.
There is also renewal in every storm. The heavy rains nourish the soil, refill rivers, and sustain life. Farmers often welcome the rain, knowing it brings growth and abundance. In the same way, challenges in life can produce growth, strength, and resilience. What seems destructive at first may actually be preparing the ground for something new.
So, the next time you witness an African thunderstorm, look beyond the noise and chaos. See it as a teacher. It speaks of patience, endurance, and the promise of renewal after every storm.
