3 days agoIn a thrilling Betway Premiership clash, **Kaizer Chiefs rallied from a surprise deficit to down Orbit College 3‑1 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Easter Monday. Chiefs seemed in danger early when Orbit College’s Mbulelo Wagaba stunned the crowd with a goal in the first half — only for Wandile Duba to draw Amakhosi level just before the break with a brilliant volley.
The second half belonged to the Soweto giants. Mduduzi Shabalala gave Chiefs the lead before Siphesihle Ndlovu sealed the win, completing a convincing comeback that marked their third straight league victory.
This victory was not just about the three points — it propelled Chiefs into third place on the Betway Premiership log, keeping alive their hopes of qualifying for CAF club competitions next season. Amakhosi now sit above AmaZulu with games in hand, illustrating a growing momentum as the campaign reaches its business end.
For the newcomers Orbit College, the loss deepened their battle against the drop, leaving them stuck in 15th and in real relegation trouble. Despite showing spirited intent early on, they couldn’t withstand Chiefs’ experience and firepower.
