Africa’s First Partner‑Focused AI Innovation Hub: Liquid C2 & Google Cloud Lead the Charge

    Pan‑African cloud and cybersecurity specialist Liquid C2 has partnered with Google Cloud to launch what’s being touted as Africa’s first partner‑focused artificial intelligence and cloud experience centre, right in Johannesburg, South Africa. The new Partner Experience Centre aims to empower local resellers, developers, start‑ups and enterprises to build, test and deploy cloud and AI solutions tailored to African markets.

    The facility offers hands‑on technical training, certification support and direct access to Google Cloud’s advanced tools, including the Gemini Enterprise platform, enabling partners to design and prototype AI‑powered applications before they go live. This initiative is specifically geared towards sectors such as telecoms, banking, public service and retail — helping break down barriers to adopting intelligent technology across the continent.

    At the launch event, Strive Masiyiwa, founder of Cassava Technologies (Liquid C2’s parent), highlighted that the centre tackles major infrastructure and skills gaps that have historically slowed technology adoption in Africa. He emphasised the importance of embedding AI in education, government services and industry to create jobs, nurture digital natives, and make African talent globally competitive.
