Rachel Kolisi’s recent Easter experience was far from the joyful family celebration she once imagined. Spending the holiday away from her children, who were with their father Siya Kolisi, she found herself confronting a deeply personal and emotional moment. The reality of their ongoing divorce, following their split in October 2024, made the occasion even more poignant.

Instead of the usual warmth of family traditions, Rachel described her Easter as “solo and chicken soup,” reflecting both her physical and emotional state. She admitted she wasn’t feeling her best, but within that vulnerability came a powerful realization—being alone does not necessarily mean being lonely.

In her reflections, Rachel highlighted the importance of self-connection, even when it feels uncomfortable. She embraced the stillness, using the time to reflect, heal, and rediscover her inner strength. For her, Easter became more than just a holiday—it symbolized renewal, hope, and the quiet belief that better days lie ahead.

While her children created new memories with their father in Durban, Rachel’s journey showed a different kind of strength—one rooted in acceptance, growth, and faith during life’s unexpected transitions.
